This work is inspired by fairground with fired colours and lights. I tried to rescue the shapes and simplify the kaleidoscope of lights and colours. My work aims to be more minimalist. It is acrylic on casein base on cotton duck canvas.

Annabel Andrews was born in the Isle of Wight in 1940 now lives and works in El Escorial near Madrid Spain, where the colour, light and volumes of the mountains inspire her work. As also her friendship with the late Spanish artists Pablo Palazuelo and Jose Guerrero. By preparing her own canvases with home made casein glue base and zinc white the work is light and luminous ready for applying acrylic colours.
