About The Artwork

This is the second painting that was inspired by my visit to the Naimena Enkiyo Forest in southern Kenya. It is one of the last remaining primary forests here and a walk through filled me with immense wonder and joy at seeing so much biodiversity and life that is gone from most other forests around the world. What also reassured me was that there are large wild animals still living in the forest protected by the community that lives around the forest. I like to think of myself as a conservation artist which means that I use my art to bring focus to this beautiful place and the animals that live here but also use the income from my art to further re-forestation and communication activities. I have been using oil on canvas that been prepared with an acrylic pour and this really gives me chance to play with all the colours that I remember from my travels.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Art is more than just its economic value, it gives meaning to life and is the experience of our culture and brings people together. My art reflects the way I perceive things and wish to portray about them. I like working in various mediums and although my themes remain consistent, they are likely to be expressed in watercolour, oil, acrylic or even fabric collage. I worked as an Advertising art Director for several years before I finally found my way back to Art 4 years ago. My work usually stems from inequality issues that face us in Kenya, like gender, poverty, water access, environment and endangered environments and wildlife.
