Inspired by the sprinkling of snow we got (finally) in mid-January. The title is taken from the Lord of the Rings (which I was reading at the time of painting this piece). I was particularly inspired by Tolkien's immersive descriptions of the places in the book and of Goldberry's mythical, magical and happy persona.

"A shadow seemed to pass by the window, and the hobbits glanced hastily through the panes. When they turned again, Goldberry stood in the door behind, framed in light. She held a candle, shielding its flame from the draught with her hand; and the light flowed through it, like sunlight through a white shell."

(J.R.R Tolkien. The Fellowship of the Ring, ch. 7)

The piece is painted on a small circular board with painted edges. It is strung with picture wire to the back, ready to hang. Please note that the surface is speckled with Swarovski crystals in pastel colours - I wanted a little extra sparkle.
