Harlem Mother and Child III Painting

I walked by this tree every day before it occurred to me that it recalls a mother carrying her child. I was so disappointed when the tree was recently cut down, to make space for a large sign advertising basketball games in the playground beside the tree. The “mother” carries her baby high on her limb so the "child" can see. Perhaps so they can also communicate better this way. I hope the viewers will be able to appreciate my vision of the mother holding her child. It is an evocative image, not realistic. I chose acrylic with water because that is the safest medium to use; acrylic is entirely non-toxic. I like this style because the ambiguity suits my temperament. I am not terribly forthright, I think I am a bit mysterious.
