About The Artwork

INHALE 02 ABOUT THIS PAINTING: This is a magnificently colorful painting of Japan which is located in the center of a mouth of someone who deeply loves the country and culture of Japan. If you love Japan and Japanese culture, then this is the painting for you! WORK HISTORY: I have been working on this style for many years, creating maps of countries and states has been one of my specialties. I created the country in the mouth concept because I live in Japan and I have noticed that almost every time I talk about my work, I bring up Japan or Japanese culture. I thus realized that I breath Japanese culture because I love it and live in it, it’s a part of me. There is more to the story I’m sure you can imagine but for this piece today, this is what I’m writing. SIZE: 16 inches X 12 inches X .5 inches FRAME: This painting is framed on light wood, which makes is very easy to hang on any surface. CANVAS: The canvas is a high grad cotton canvas, it has been lightly covered with varnish and will live much longer then we all will. Talking about myself is difficult, what should I say? I was born in Michigan, lived in San Francisco for a while and now I'm living in Tokyo. I create art because it's not only my outlet it's what I do or more like who I am. Every piece of work has a part of my soul in it. All I hope is that you enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed making it. Thank you, Johnny
