About The Artwork
The Iconostasis of Serbocommunism depicts newer Serbian history, focusing on such occurrences as deliberate blatant disregarding of solidarity, equality, social justice, egalitarianism, which happened at the end of 20th century, depicting the key political and historical figures from Serbian history at that time. I tried to be as objective as possible, whilst being critical and giving my own opinion and view on those historical events. They were drawn in caricature, pop-art manner, very illustrative, with massive doses of bitter humor and sarcasm. The materials i used are watercolors, with some black ink, and a pinch of acrylic at some small points, on paper. The size of the drawn itself is 42x66cm, drawn on paper with size of 50x70cm.
