About The Artwork
When I saw these two girls reaching out to pet the large stallion, I was reminded of myself at their age. Anytime I could get near a horse, I was in awe and just wanted to love on the animal. I hope I have conveyed these feelings in my painting. At their age, if wishes were horses, I would have had a large stable. I chose oil on high quality linen since this is my favorite medium. I used the technique of glazing over a base painting to allow the colors and highlights to really stand out. The dimensions include the beautiful, antique frame included in the price. The frame includes colors seen in the painting.
