About The Artwork

This is a gouache painting over an antique engraving of the city of Tunis. Part of the "Altered Landscape" series of painted prints, it combines a crisp, graphic pyramid of blues with the detailed line-work of the print to create a new landscape of rapid change and intense contrasts. Beautifully framed in a custom solid walnut frame with splined corners.
