About The Artwork

Love stories; canvas, oil; 2018; 100 x 150 centimeters; 39.37 x 59.06 inches Romantic walks on the ocean beach - probably one of the most pleasant moments that can happen. Dolphins also create couples, because they live in families, like people. And seagulls have not yet created a couple and are dancing. Those people who know me well will not be surprised. And for the rest it may be a surprise that I strongly hate melodramas, books, films, songs about love and in general all this sugary romance. Sometimes they seem to me just boring, but more often cause disgust. Why? Most people like them. Melodramas like many women and men, although the latter prefer to hide it for some reason. I thought for a long time about why I have such a reaction on them. Then I realized that not a single work of art could really show love. Everywhere there is an obvious fake and this is what causes my disgust. Theatricality, contortion, excessive drama. Not at all like in real life. In art, there are two most popular themes for all ages, it's about death and about love. About love is not my theme, and death is too gloomy. Therefore, most of my works are philosophical reflections on life, digging in the subconscious, studying through the art of the brain and dreams. Often in my art works I use erotic or other popular storyline to draw attention to completely different things. People who do not look so deeply, and do not try to get beyond eroticism and will not see. And I can safely write about this! Because not one of these people will not read this text until here :) For those who like to understand everything in detail, I will say that I often use folklore symbolism in my abstract and semi-abstract works. My paintings for intellectuals. And each of them is a puzzle of symbols and several parallel semantic meanings. The external decorative side, then the meaning that people want to see, then a few of my meanings that can be solved. Now I have undertaken myself for a romantic art. What for? To show love more convincingly, without a pink veil, but the main thing is still to hide in a deeper semantic part. The art work is large, so it's easier to deliver it to you on a roll. That you yourself in your city pulled the canvas on the stretcher. On the art work there are small waves that echo the waves of the ocean. Therefore, I recommend that you do not tighten the fabric too much.

Artistic Statement I paint large scale contemporary pieces, up to three meters, that combine Expressionism and Abstract Expressionism. Also my artworks are land or seascapes and figurative art. The mix of styles creates is a dialogue between interior emotions and the outside environment. I like to think that all my art comes from a place of optimism and a celebration of life. I believe that the art and objects that we surround ourselves with can motivate people and infuse our lives with positive energy. I have always maintained, and tell my art students, that good art requires steady and constant effort and practice, so I make sure I paint every day. I am also constantly looking for ways to add new elements, stylistically and conceptually, to my work.
