About The Artwork

For the project "Visions of Peace" (www.nativeimmigrant.com), inspired by the Mohawk peace treaty signed in Montreal in 1710, the dress was inspired by the notion of "we are all the same height", a foundational principle of the treaty. We launch the project at the Ashukan Cultural Center for Indigenous Art in 2015.
