About The Artwork
My most frequent studio visitors are iguanas who come to feast, mostly on red hibiscus and purple orchids. They are very fine eaters and good models as this seems to be their stomping grounds. They were here before I built my studio. This is their place and I welcome them with their fine colors, impassive faces and slithery ways. They don’t seem to react to me until I talk. So I keep painting them and this painting is part of my series of creatures I have known. The canvas sides are 1 and 3/4 inches deep and painted and ready to hang.
