Painting: Giclee and Print on Paper. Limited edition giclee canvas print of an original oil painting. On ready-to-hang canvas with white or black edges (please specify when ordering). Proofed, signed and numbered by the artist, with certificate of authenticity. I was shooting reference photos at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego one late summer’s day many years ago. When I got the prints back (this was pre-digital photography) the way the sunlight was and interacting with the lens and atmosphere created a clear beam of light coming down with what looked like a human form within it. It was quite eerie. I took some liberties when recreating the scene on canvas, but this is not that far from the original shot. While I am not religious, I am deeply spiritual. And the spirit of Divine Love represented here, whether for you it be Christ, Mary, or whomever you might see, is a powerful force in my life.

About the Artist Award-winning oil painter Paul Bond was born in 1964 in Guadalajara, Mexico, and currently lives and works in Southern California and Costa Rica. Paul Bond's art lives in the spaces between dreaming and reality. Drawing from the Latin American genre of Magic Realism, his paintings merge symbolic, surreal and fantastic elements with realistic atmospheres to unveil a world where everything is possible.
