I’d like to be a bird of paradise. A woman, a flower, a bird - in full bloom. To be a striking, fiery thing burning with passion. To be versatile, to be vibrant even when shrivelled and dry... to be beautiful. This painting draws memories from Coogera Lane, from the tropics and from a time when I was in paradise.
