About The Artwork

This piece has beautiful large blocks of color. It challanges the viewer in that if/when the piece is turned 180 it is a girl, a child, that is standing on a toy drum. It speaks of the innocence and pitfalls of puberty (check out the drawn hand at the top of the piece from which she "hangs" upended. The work is executed in spray paint and drawing materials with a stencil of a somewhat leering clown.

my art is about: the exploration of ideas, concepts, questions and practices that examine the past, describe the present, imagine the future. it borrows traditional methods and bends them to realize new ideas. it reframes, redefines, disrupts. my art is about: change - transformation of light, color, form: it is searching, rule bending, experimental, expanding, it begs rethinking and reaction. I have been a fine artist for over 25 years, showing in galleries throughout the US.
