About The Artwork
This piece has a matte background with an impasto gloss foreground. The color and texture choices are designed to create a sense of depth and draw in the viewer. The artist's goal is to create images that do not look remotely representational. She finds her most successful work to be those which cause the viewer to struggle to find the words to describe what the painting looks like. She enjoys the act of watching viewers try to process an image that they cannot tie to any object in reality. This piece has high-quality canvas wrapped around heavy-duty stretcher bars and is painted with professional grade oil paints to ensure archival quality. The paint comes up to 1/4" off of the canvas. It is fully painted around the edges and does not require framing. It is wired and ready to hang.
