About The Artwork
This is a mixed media painting. From the "Six Songs by Swans" series. This series is based off of six songs sung by the band, Raised By Swans. Each song represents each painting. As I painted each piece, I played a song on repeat the entire time. Each brush stroke going along with the beat and/or words of the song. 1st layer: Acrylic paint is applied to the canvas. 2nd layer: Thick amounts of hot glue was then applied to help create texture. 3rd layer: White acrylic paint was applied over the colour acrylic paint. 4th layer: Multiple colours of acrylic paint and black marker were then added. Ultra Matte Medium was prepared in the paint before I started painting. Matte finish has also been applied. This painting is signed by the artist. *Colors may look different depending on what screen you are using to view the images.

Adding to her style, she began to experiment with portrait work. This experiment became an added style after much time and dedication to perfecting this technique. As of late, Mireka has used most of her time creating new pieces as she creates artistic representations of her current reality.
