"Streets" is my perception of the daily grind—of people making their way to work, meeting appointments and just maneuvering through the uptown and downtown streets of any metropolitan city in the world.
Diversity of culture, ethnicity or purpose is all the same when you are taking part in life in the city—we all feel it.
This painting is a personal entry into my daily, visual arts journal, and it describes the potential nature of any one of my given days.
The writing and mark-making in this piece is integral to it's energy and the way it communicates, said energy.
I have used acrylic paint and sharpie markers to create a haptic energy of a written between the lines under-painting.
Their are many levels to this painting, physically and metaphorically.

This painting is framed and a recent favorite of mine.

David Grudniski is a Calgary based artist and entrepreneur. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Lethbridge, School of Fine Arts after attending the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary. David’s work has been seen and recognized as a valuable contribution to the creative community and is collected locally, nationally and abroad. He has exhibited in Italy and across Canada in solo and group shows in Edmonton, Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto. While traveling Europe David’s exposure to classical, modern and contemporary art, evolved into a bold transformation of his art practice. He owned and operated Catharine Studio Art Gallery in Inglewood, Calgary and for a decade he invited photographers, musicians, and visual artists to create and exhibit their work. David’s proclivity for creative expression never diminished and it is a force to be experienced.
