About The Artwork

Study on symmetry in gray, black and ocher is actually a study on asymmetry. Two screens of different dimensions have similar shapes, but not the same. There is a larger canvas than another, one measuring 90x90 cm, while the other 70x50 cm, the asymmetry is clear, it generates different weights on each side of the work creating tension and rhythm. The color is limited to shades of gray, ocher being the only color that moves in this range of values that goes from black to white. We would say that the work is also a study on the aesthetics of the shadow.
