About The Artwork

The work is inspired by a mid-century optimism of galactic and scientific discovery expressed through graphical composition and bold uses of shape and colour. This piece joins a collection of work in a continuing journey of a fictitious space vessel 'The B-12 Module' travelling to Pluto. Shown at 'The Other Art Fair', Victoria House, London - March 2018

My work tells a narrative through abstract compositions that are made with energy and impulsive structure building. I am inspired by many things ranging from nature to science and the influences of time with my latest collections of work exploring the notion of everything in the universe being connected by the very elements and atoms that make us and the subsequent origins of life. Presented using a minimalism that explores shape, balance and surface texture the work is made with layering techniques that are constructed over time using multiple paper and paint materials weathered and deconstructed to leave a subtle unplanned beauty within the decay. The pieces are meant to have a nostalgic thoughtful quality perhaps in the same way you would view an old photograph and represent microscopic fragments that have been left cold and silent. I am a West Sussex based artist that is dedicated to making creatively unique and striking art that would sit well within any contemporary setting. The pieces are minimal and abstract in appearance but have a subtle beauty with in the composition and surface texture. each piece works well as a focal point on its own or would hang nicely along side interior decor such as plant life or furniture. My work ranges in scale from small to very large to fit within most settings and is finished to a high quality.
