“An intimate and private atmosphere is one of the unique traits that distinguish the creative process of Agnieszka Ceccarelli’s artwork: her art becomes a way to restore the connection with a profound perception and to give shape to the essence of things as she observes them. Nature becomes the preferred topic on her canvas without limiting itself to a mere figurative representation but going beyond, pushing the envelope between an oneiric state and a metaphysical one, where the artist attempts to create forms and colors. Details and subjects are just sketched, and they stand out on a surface that conveys a delicate, slow feeling and perceived reflection. Acrylic and charcoals are used without the usual “tools of the trade” attitude; in fact, Ceccarelli drops spatulas and brushes to use her hands to blend and experiment with the materials she has chosen. This physical and “carnal” relationship with her paintings allows getting deeply in touch with them, almost as if undertaking a cathartic process of freedom from emotions and communion between soul and body in a symbiotic relationship with nature. Observation of reality becomes the mirror of old memories, of sensations experienced, of innermost states of the soul. It is a delicate approach, never invasive or aggressive: the artist subtly brings herself before the Creation, which becomes her intimate confidant and draws from it the intimate images that the canvas returns full of gracefulness and communicative strength where soft colors and mist-like shapes give us pause, taking us into a timeless dimension. Across the entire collection, we find technical and stylistic consistency full of contemplative lyricism in a vibrant ensemble where delicate colors gracefully faded embraced in perfect harmony with powerful textures. The elegance of the result characterizes all the artist’s artwork and becomes the undisputed and ever-present element, an invitation to reflect, a warning to pause for a moment to regenerate while abandoning consciousness to one’s inner spirit.” Dr.ssa Monica Ferrarini
