Rich layers of orange paint build up to an exciting depiction of Paso Robles' rolling hills and rounded oak trees. The purple thistles in the foreground stand out in vibrant color against the backdrop of hills. This oil painting was created with juicy, impasto brush strokes that look good enough to eat. This painting has been framed in an Open Impressionist frame. These frames are one-of-a-kind, hand carved in the US and hand-gilded with 23kt gold leaf. The Open Impressionist frame is a beautiful blend of classic American impressionist frames and contemporary "floater frames," just as my style is a unique blend of the classic and contemporary. The frame is designed to stand away from the edge of the canvas, leaving a 1/4" gap around the painting, which allows you to experience every brush stroke on the canvas.
