About The Artwork

Part of the Maritime series, this work consists of thousands of textured streaks blending cloudy whites and greys with deep ocean blues in an abstraction representing the sea that serves as a means for global transportation and trade. The sky and ocean tones are separated by a bold textured band of semi-fluorescent 'international orange' to represent the ships and dockyards that alter natural seaside vistas around the world. This piece is named after the Port of Vancouver in Canada; the original source of inspiration for the series. The sides are fully painted so it can be hung framed or unframed according to preference.
