Sunrise over Halong Bay. Nowadays Halong Bay is Vietnam's premier tourist destination and this scenic location is overcrowded with hundreds of tourist boats. After the Vietnam War however, there were no tourists anywhere, and at first light, these boats gently slipped out into a tranquil scene, lost in time and completely unchanged since centuries.
