DanceCubesII Artwork - Limited Edition of 12

DanceCubesII is not my first video based on different non-human-co-creation technologies, but its creation included different non-human ways to create. I used a Tensorflow-based artificial neural network to create the music. This was a “learn- and-adopt-AI” approach. But then I did my own very human decision: I stretched the AI music file, made it slower. The original file (quick rhythm) and the new file (slow rhythm) are building a very significant contrast, but they have they are sisters by DNA, and fit perfectly together. For the creation of the pictures of the dance scene I used Code9, a homegrown software. This software (coded by me and friends) can destroy and create images. This process is based on random, but there is a steering mechanism to regulate the force and granularity of this process. As steering values I used the masses of the planets of our solar system. That’s probably not random, it’s perhaps a kind of fundamental physical constant.
