Art Description

Photography: Digital and Color on Paper.

This is from my Human Condition Series. I used to shoot a lot of people on the street and interesting buildings as well as my portraits and nudes. I rarely do that anymore. This is from a series I made in the Yucatan over a 3 week period back in February of 1982. I received a grant to travel there and photograph the Mayan ruins. I found myself more attracted to the people living there than the ancient ruins. I only made a few images in color. This is my favorite. In B&W this image would not be nearly as strong. it's about the culture for sure but the colors say all lot.

All prints are hand made by myself and printed full frame on a 17X22" sheet of Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Paper. They are printed on an Epson 3880 printer. They are signed and numbered in the border below the image. After the edition sells out no further images will be made available for sale. The price increases as the edition sells. The dimensions given in the artwork details are the approximate image size and may vary by a fraction of an inch.
