#30 - London Southwark Bridge Photograph - Limited Edition of 50

A scene I happened upon while exploring the Queen’s Walk in the vicinity of Southwark Cathedral, early on a delightful Sunday morning. Thus ensuring the area would be devoid of the usual abundance of tourists. Right here; we are under the arches of Southwark Bridge, which is delightfully lit with decorative purple coloured lights. The early morning light fuses with the gloom that’s to be expected under arches, which together with the decorative lights, creates an ambience for a photo shoot. Which is exactly what I happened upon here. The photographer, who was more interested in his work than taking any notice of me, wanted to get the shot he needed while the natural light remained at the level he wanted, and took no interest whatsoever in what I was doing. The photographer was more interested in a pose from the model, and I was more interested in creating a scene for a composition. So my photographs are very different from that of the photographer. I handed the model my business card and suggested he might contact me, so I could return my photograph. Which was obviously very different subject matter, than the photographer he was working for. I often offer to my subjects a chance to redeem my work for themselves. Happily, the model was very grateful for the photograph I returned. An excellent composition, even if I do say so myself.
