Art Description

Photography: Color, Digital on Paper.

This line from Andrew Marvell’s poem, The Garden (published 1681) was the inspiration behind this beautiful and graphically powerful image of a single leaf of Melianthus major, also known as Giant Honey Flower.

For the first time, this image is being offered for sale to collectors and lovers of beautiful photographs as a limited edition, fine-art print of 1/10

This image was taken in the photographer’s London studio with a Canon full-frame digital camera. Under the supervision of the photographer, it is being printed by London fine art printers, Bayeux Ltd, using Hahnemühle archival Photo Rag Bright White 310gsm paper and utilising Epson printing technology and the associated K3 pigment inks. The prints have an extraordinary density of blacks, with good contrast, and hold even the finest detail. Each image is printed on an oversized A1 sheet with white borders. The surface of these prints is delicate, so it is recommended that they should be mounted behind glass, ideally using non-reflecting, gallery glass.
