Photography: Color, Digital, C-type on Paper.
A perfect juxtaposition of some of the Earth’s most basic natural materials - water, wood, pebbles and rock - form one of the many ingenious creations of César Manrique to be discovered at the Jameos del Aqua, on the island of Lanzarote in the Canaries. Manrique was a prolific artist and sculptor who significantly influenced the development of Lanzarote, saving it from the worst excesses of tourist development. The whole island is strewn with his architectural masterpieces.
For the first time, this image is being offered for sale to collectors and lovers of beautiful photographs as a limited edition, fine-art print of 1/10.
This image was taken with a Canon full-frame digital camera. Under the supervision of the photographer, it is being printed by London fine art printers, Bayeux Ltd, deploying C-Print digital technology and using a rather special Fujicolour Crystal Archive Glossy paper. The prints have extraordinary colour density, with good contrast, and hold even the finest detail with exceptional image stability. Each image is printed on an oversized A1 sheet with white borders. It can be mounted like any other silver halide stock and can be laminated, block mounted or displayed behind glass, ideally using non-reflecting, gallery glass.
Numbered limited edition; signed, dated and titled on the back.
