Absorbed II is second work from my series called Absorbed 2020. I captured a seamless pattern of abstract, mostly organic-based shape from something that is un-organic in every way. A plastic bag. Their extreme convenience has made them widespread all aspects of life, making them the synonym of waste. But my experiment with plastic bag allowed me to show a different perspective of a just plain plastic item. An abstract vision of an object that can be transformed into something more powerful. The photograph is showing light absorption in a process by which light is absorbed on a plastic item and converted into energy. We are all familiar with process photosynthesis in plants. However, light absorption doesn’t occur exclusively in plants, but in all creatures/inorganic substances and objects. My metaphorical exploration of light is a symbol of enlightenment. The investigation has led me to create matter that features light as a life force. A colourful form that grew from a dark surface towards the light-absorbing not just light but also colours of its surrounding into his matter. New created substance vibrantly transforming itself into different colours and into the environment and becoming something much more than just a non-representable item. The photograph is printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta 300gsm Satin inkjet paper. I chose subtly textured, a smooth base paper that contains no optical brighteners and has a silky, smooth surface texture with a beautiful feel. The satin-gloss premium inkjet coating guarantees that this exceptional print results with intense colours, deep blacks and outstanding sharpness.
