Anvil Photograph - Limited Edition of 10

I work with rock; crushed, corrugated, painted cardboard; concrete and objects that have highly textural surface and with which I can create an architectural sense of space and weight. Some works are assembled to be photographed as still life and others are permanently anchored as sculptures. The quality of the materials I choose have a humanity and tactile quality that appeals to our senses: our visual and well as our sense of touch. We crave this connection in an age of indifferent perfection and the remoteness of the digital world. This photograph works well large scale and epic, as well as an intimate, small scale, contemplative work. I hope viewers will feel a strength and sense of being centered.
