About The Artwork
Art Water Film 2 35 mm film that was damaged by sea water during Hurricane Wilma in Key West, Florida 2005. The film was originally in sheet protectors in a box that was submerged for a short period of time. As the film dried the images deformed into interesting patterns, that look like paintings with their bright colors and scrambled designs created by the salt water. Limited edition of 25 prints, signed and numbered. Image size: 22 x 17.007 Print size: 20 x 24 in Printed on Ilford Gold Fiber Silk paper 310 gram, 100 % cotton rag.

I grew up with photography as my father worked as a reporter/photographer in the late 1940s to the early 1950s, before he became involved in the aerospace industry. Through him I became fascinated with the magic of photography. I began to take photo classes in college and later attended Art Center College of Design, graduating in 1976. I had a small studio on Sunset Blvd through the late 1980s then did a trip to Thailand and decided to move there in 1990. Over the years I have worked for Habitat for Humanity, World Vision, and done assignments for The United Nations, Newsweek, Gamma Liaison, Getty Images. Animal Planet, Homeless International and other organizations in Asia.
