Autopsy Photograph

Predominantly a figurative painter but also have been known to do the occasional video,installation,sculpture and a bit of photography. After I finished at Lincoln Uni I was a supply teacher at David Lister School in Hull and now am the art teacher at Kelvin Hall school also in Hull.
At the moment I am working on a project which stemmed from the sudden death of a close friend whose vital organs were removed and kept by pathologists who couldn't determine the cause of his death. I am looking at the body after death becoming an object of no authority and of having no control. I am interested in the aspect of the actuality of what happens to the body directly after death and in particular the emotions evoked at the event of an autopsy of someone close.
