I have been a Vicar in the Church of England for the past 30 years. I'm retired now but am still very active in the life of the Church. I have also been involved in photography for the past 20 years and make use of my images, many of which are of a spiritual nature, in my work. Some of the images are challenging and hopefully thought provoking and have attracted national interest and press coverage following two exhibitions based in Worcester Cathedral. My aim is to have a London based exhibition of my work so that it becomes known to a wider audience as a former Arts Correspondent from The Observer Newspaper said that if this were to be achieved then there would be interest in reviewing my body of work. I am still looking for a suitable opening and someone to take up the challenge of introducing my work to a wider audience and so if anyone has any information/contacts that can assist me then I should be very grateful for your help. Many of the images are spiritual/ethical in nature but I also enjoy studies of nature and architectural abstracts. I currently live in Bromsgrove with my wide, Christine, and daughter Sally and my wife is also employed in the Church of England's ministry. I originate from Todmorden in Lancashire/Yorkshire (Todmorden is on the border between the two counties) and my surname is German as my father was a German Prisoner of War. My mother was the first English woman to legally marry a German POW after the Second World War. I studied Theology & Sociology at Exeter University and was employed as a social worker for a number of years before entering the ministry. If anyone has known me from the past then I would love to hear from you or if you have any comments about my images please write and let me know. Thankyou.
