Portrait of Olga Smirnova, prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Ballet, who left her position and the country in protest of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She came to The Netherlands, and is now the lead dancer of our National Ballet. This is her concentrating during practice. I drew this portrait in 2022. Soft pigment stick on pastel mat size: 31 x 34 cm (about 12.2x 13”) ——————————————— Now available in a Limited Edition of 7 Giclée prints in this size (L) on Hahnemühle 325grams archival paper. Some drawings are printed on to canvas, or silky fabric, or straight onto aluminum panel. These editions are also ready to hang.
