My name is Rigoberto Torres, I was born in Mexico City in 1977. From the age of 6 I took painting classes exploring different techniques, Watercolor, Pastel, Charcoal, oil, through sculpture and pyrography. Professionally I work as a multidisciplinary visual arts, I build my career learning the different elements that make up all stages of pre, pro and post production. The audiovisual tools are part of my way of expressing. I work on what I like and with the tools I love to work, a few years ago saturated with work I had a catharsis that led me to evaluate myself in every way, as part of the result I made a marked differentiation of what my passions are and what which is work. I started experimenting with photography portrait in order to face and understand the technical and management aspects required by the trade. It started as an escape, motivated by pure passion. The current evolution of my work is the result of what I have learned in recent years as a result of that catharsis. Are you a photographer? Beyond that every day I learn the job, Who is what? The labels do not convince me, they seem vague and square. Nowadays anyone can take a photograph, with technological advances until it is very likely that you will get amazing results. But, what is it that we are photographing and why? What does photography say about ourselves? In my case, I use it as a modern way of doing painting and with that, construct a message that is part of a discourse that functions as a mechanism of personal expression. It's the way I digest the information that surrounds me. Yesterday he was a painter, watercolorist, sculptor, businessman, producer, publicist, stubborn, foolish, today he may be a photographer, tomorrow, Who know? What can you tell us about your work? My work is divided into two lines. One is my work that is young. It consists of pieces made with photography built with three basic schemes. An aureus scheme in which the objects are distributed in the scene meticulously, a psychological or philosophical scheme and a personal discourse resulting from introspection, observation and interpretation of myself. The second line of my work is rather a continuous exercise with photography, in which I face the technical questions reflecting the key points to which I want to direct myself or to perform better.
