ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The São Vicente Tower, better known as the Belém Tower, is one of the most famous monuments in Lisbon, Portugal. This photograph shows the east façade of the tower, which at the time was illuminated by the sun. We can also observe that there were many people in the place, enjoying the Belém Tower and the beautiful view of the Tagus River. The historical importance of this building from the year 1520 motivated me to take this photograph, which I make available here for sale.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
