This image was taken right after sunset on a Summer day at the sea in Izu Peninsula. After a gloomy sunset the clouds rolled in and everything became really dark. There was just a slight opening in the sky above the water, that combined with a long exposure made for a really minimal composition. It's almost like looking at two different skies joining together. The original is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Satin 310 gsm 100% Cotton white satin-finish paper and manually signed at the bottom.
