About The Artwork

Limited prints in 150x100cm are printed in Hahnemühle FineArt Photo Rag paper 308 g/m². Smaller sizes available in open edition prints. Every work is signed on the back and accompanied by the author certificate. “Breakwater” features an added element to the seascape: a concrete block diverging the waters natural flow, creating foamy waves on the surface of the sea. This breakwater protects the sand being taken away by the sea, in Barcelona. We have altered the currents by building far too many harbours up North on the coast. And we keep on building to maintain our artificial beaches even though it carries bad consequences for the flora and fauna beneath the surface. The shape of this breakwater detail reminds us of a tombstone...
