About The Artwork
I took this photograph in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This building is part of a cultural and leisure center, called SESC Pompéia, and was designed by the Italian-Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi in 1977. In this photograph, I tried to highlight the main building, in concrete, with its walkways, which interconnect the floors with another neighboring block.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
