Derelict crane on the banks of river Thames, in now defunct London Docklands provides sharp contrast between "good old days", romanticised by so many right-wing thinkers and followers, and ruthlessly changing times, inevitably spelling out a new reality. Martynas thinks of photography as a final point in that frivolous argument between "Now" and "Then", and it holds even more so for street photography: momentary combination of daily life parts, adding up to absurdity; immediate action, frozen in ultimatum of "Now", and with precisely the same sense of urgency descending into meaningful "Then" - a tale, a moral, a joke - transformed into calm statement of experience.
