Art Description

Photography: Digital, Paper, Black & White, Giclée on Paper.

Photographer Ryan Chesla’s project “Observations” is an intimate and poignant examination of what motivates him visually throughout his day-to-day adventures. Influenced by the mundane and ultimately inspired by what is often ignored, Chesla presents a snapshot of what he believes society takes for granted. Chesla’s goal for “Observations” is to prompt viewers to slow down, take a moment to absorb all that surrounds them, and truly appreciate the beauty, humor, and simplicity that inundates us on a daily basis.

Chesla's photograph, "Castro Theater" was shot in the Castro District, of San Francisco, California in March of 2018.

Printed on archival paper, this 5"x7" black and white photograph is delivered matted to 11"x14" dimensions, is signed and titled, and is delivered with a letter of authentication.

All Daily Observation images are framed in a Matte Black Metal Frame Package (classic back loader frame) using Premium Archival UV Protective Acrylic and Acid-Free Foamcore Backing. The approximate outside dimensions are 11 ¼” X 14 ¼”.
