About The Artwork
This is one of a series of prints in my investigation into the visual intersection of fluid and light effects and what visions can be created. In this series I have been influenced by Plato's explanation of how we see; gentle fire coming from our eyes and combining with daylight to form a homogeneous "body of vision” so we can detect visual objects "Conception”: That magical point in time where miracles actually happen. A time when fluid becomes solid.

His early work has been mainly in film and video being placed 3rd in the BBC Television. ASIFA, ICOGRADA Animated Film Competition in 1973. He has been a finalist for the 2003 New Zealand Academy of Film and Television Arts award for Design and his film “Snip” was nominated for a ‘MOA’ in the 2015 Rialto New Zealand Film Awards. He has a Graduate Certificate in Design from CPIT and a BFA (Hons) from Canterbury University. Ken's artwork has been described as 'exceptional' by Adam Gold, Owner, Gold Gallery Boston, MA.
