Coney Island, New York - Limited Edition of 10 Photograph

Taken on a large scale (6x17) panoramic film camera using (Ilford black and white film) from a pier at Coney Island. It was a cold day in December 2000 and there were not many people about. I produced a series of images from my day trip to Coney Island motivated by some friends who were appearing in the Neil Simon play Brighton Beach Memoirs. There is a graphic simplicity to the image. I think it’s on my first trip to New York. For personal reasons I wanted to be away from the city where I lived and so I thought New York would be a good distraction. When I was here I took a walk along the boardwalk away from Brighton Beach. Archivally printed onto the finest quality paper it is a highly limited edition of 10 only.
