Dominican Republic
Photographer - Director Nov. 23, 1989, Santo Domingo, D. R. — Working on: SERIES: "UNFORGETTABLE" Our Stories. Archive created with the iconic Dominican Actor Juan Fernández. + info about Juan Fernandez: JUAN FERNÁNDEZ is one of the most unforgettable latino actors of his generation. Having starred in classic films like Oliver Stone’s “Salvador”, “Arachnaphobia”, “Crocodile Dundee II”, “A Man Apart” with Vin Diesel and as Cuban Dictator Fulgencio Batista in Andy Garcia’s “The Lost City” (shot entirely in Juan’s home country of the Dominican Republic), he has earned a reputation for excellence as well as being one of the most famous “heavies” in Hollywood history. But there is much more to this celebrated performer than his bad guy reputation in films. In 2007, Juan created his production company Monos en la Montaña with the mission to create new classic films. His film and fashion careers began in Italy where he worked with Bruno Corbuchi, Carlos Sofi, Carmello Bene and Federico Fellini, among others. In theatre, Juan worked with the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre in New York City, and appeared in the critically acclaimed “Balm in Gilead” at the Pan Andreas theatre in Hollywood. Other theatre credits include: “The Tricycle” at Los Angeles Theater Center, “Ionesco’s Tales” at Stages in Hollywood, “Salome” and a 2003 LA Weekly Award for Best Revival as the Fortune Teller in “The Skin of Our Teeth” at The Evidence Room. His television credits are too numerous to list here. To view Juan’s filmography and complete TV credits, visit his IMDB page. ¡Commissions are open! Available for print.
