My work "sits in the sweet spot where fine art and photography converge."
Combining my photographs from around the world with digital painting, I invite the viewer to replace the window through which they see the world, with a lens that interprets the world into something that is at once familiar and foreign.
This image, from Iceland, is from the award nominated series Drama in the Fog. The series was exhibited at the Embassy of Iceland in London. The distinctly coloured duotone images are related thematically in context and mood, individually and collectively imparting an other-worldliness that is intriguing, sensual and starkly beautiful. The fog thickens at the horizon, but cutting through the silence you can hear the geese honking as they approach, flying in ever-prefect formation.
Delta is a picture of Earth devoid of human life. The days and nights are constant, rhythmical, bleak but beautiful in line and form and texture. I want the to engage the viewer emotionally as well as rationally as they explore their own response to this landscape.
