Art Description

Photography: Black & White, Digital on Paper.

......Although this listing defaults as “Limited Edition” The final number of prints in this run is as yet unknown. Each print is authored, signed, certified and numbered by me. The main images in these listings are at low resolution for security purposes. The additional images below the main image are sections of the whole image at full resolution. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ ……………………………………………….. Death Valley, California, USA. ………………………………………………..............
......Why not?, .… Why not the road? …. It finally hit me after spending a few days driving through Death Valley on this recently paved desert highway. The pursuit of exotic land-forms was what brought me here but as this image proves, the less obvious subjects can have an unanticipated force. Just stop! was the thought, so I mashed the brakes, pulled the car to the side and set the tripod in the middle of the road. December sees very little traffic in the desert.
Learning to see what presents itself rather than just what we are looking for is apparently a life long endeavor. No matter how rote or mundane a place may seem to be there is always something of beauty and fascination to be found. The camera does indeed have a mind and an eye of it’s own.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________ …… I am citing the creation date for these newly released pictures as current, either 2018 or 2019 because that is when they were worked into their current state. This image was originally assembled in 2006 . ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
......This new series of Black and White images I am offering have been given the “Ansel Adams” treatment. I have developed a technique for pulling clarity and drama out of the original image files in much the same way Ansel Adams did although my workflow is strictly digital. The final Giclee print is produced on a fine art luster finish, archival substrate for both the original prints and the open edition prints. These large original prints are shipped rolled in a tube. open edition prints are available on canvas as well.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________ ...... Large original prints are intended to draw attention from across a room and compel a closer look. Ceiling lights or frame mounted lighting is recommended.
