"I LOVE SPAGHETTI" A CELEBRATION OF FEMININITY with Sonia Rangel, actress.
" Dissolving into candy " 1974, Mexico City. What started as a mockery of the opera and its pomposity turned years later into a celebration of femininity.
Since years I want to reduce the realism of photography and to intensify the emotional content of my images. Initially I manipulated images in Photoshop to eliminate the distractions of the real world and to heighten their appeal.
Since 2018 I explore more effective means to modify photographs. By modifying an image with the right technique I strive to balance realism with abstraction. I love to explore and find a harmonious integration of realism and abstraction.
This search leads to an exhilarating freedom: blending photography with painting to express what paintings have always done and do superbly well since impressionism: to visualize how humans see and feel the world.
The process requires passion and intuition. Rarely the first manipulation is perfect. Usually it is flawed and must be corrected. By redoing a composition many times the initial, intuitive result can be perfected. It’s a great way to liberate imagination and emotions!
