About: Based on the North Fork of New York, as a commercial and fine art aerial photographer, Alex Ferrone’s works have been published widely including in Wine Spectator, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and Pinhole Journal; have been highlighted in numerous online magazines; and have been featured on TV. Ferrone has exhibited her fine art photographs in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums nationally in New York, Texas, Florida, and Colorado; and internationally in Italy and Spain. Her works are held in private collections in the United States, Italy and France. Ferrone is also an independent Curator and Juror. ************************************************************************************************************************************** Artist Statement: “As a fine art aerial photographer with varying artistic influences, I aspire to see differently as I explore my environment from diverse altitudes, and have developed a body of work that has been naturally abstracted from various landscapes and New York waters. Generally leaving out representational elements within the images, leaves the viewer little or no reference to reality, and challenges their perception of the mystery within the natural form, shape and line. Presenting this unique perspective for the viewer excites their imagination and interpretation, while at the same time, creates a new awareness and appreciation for the fragile ecological systems that surround us that can be taken for granted." ~ Alex Ferrone.
