From the 'Hawaii' series … 36" x 45" | Edition of 25 | $1500 32" x 40" | Edition of 25 | $1000 Notes on framing … Images are printed with archival pigment ink on acid-free canvas, then cured for several days. Afterwards, they are sprayed with multiple coats of a clear, protective lacquer before being dry mounted on acid-free foam board and placed in a premium metal frame. By default, black-and-white prints are framed in black, while color prints are framed in white, but you’re free to request the opposite (e.g. a color print framed in black). Just send me a message after you order about frame color. Framing without glass creates a more immersive experience, especially at larger sizes, as if you’re looking through a window (versus seeing your reflection in the glass).

Mark McCarvill is a self-taught photographer who makes color and black-and-white images of the Canadian and international landscape. His artistic influences include photographers like Ansel Adams and Michael Kenna, and painters such as Tom Thomson and Lawren Harris. Mark is originally from Prince Edward Island but spent many years in both Ottawa and Toronto before moving to Vancouver. His clients include both individual and corporate buyers, and his prints range in size from 7”x7” to 40”x40”. Mark blends his own carbon pigment inkset, custom designed for making high resolution, archival black-and-white photographs.
