Currently, Colwyn Griffith’s photography, video and slide installations, delve into notions of time, memory and the history of photography. Colwyn Griffith’s early photographs centre around food and its relationship to landscape, tourism and consumerist society. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, including, Mitaka Arts Centre, Tokyo, Jersey City Museum U.S.A, Le Mois de la Photo in Montreal and the Ottawa Art Gallery. He has received several grants from the Canada council for the Arts and has participated in artist residencies including Chashama in New York City. His work has appeared in various publications such as Image and Imagination edited by Martha Langford, McGill-Queens University Press, Magenta Foundation’s Carte Blanche 1: Photography, The National Post, Esse Magazine, En Route, and Douglas Coupland’s Souvenir ofCanada 2 Toronto: Douglas & Macintyre.
